Eggs thrown at King Charles of England

Interestingly, the King didn't even flinch and stoically continued after turning around to gaze at the egg.

British police on Wednesday arrested a man for throwing eggs at King Charles and Queen Consort Camilla during a walkabout in the northern England city of York.

The incident occurred when the royal couple entered York through Micklegate Bar, a historic entryway where kings are customarily greeted.

The eggs were seen flying past the King, a well-known environmentalist, while he spoke with locals while on a trip with Queen Camilla.

One egg landed on the road close to the King even though all of them missed him.

Interestingly, the King didn’t even flinch and stoically continued after turning around to gaze at the egg.

Following the incident at York’s Micklegate Bar, police dragged the man away after removing him from the crowd and placing him on the ground.

He was then carted away from the scene and placed in the back of a police waggon.

The man was seen putting his tongue out in several pictures as he is being dragged away.

King Charles had come to the city to dedicate a statue of Queen Elizabeth II in York.

Charles resumed the customary procedure in which the Lord Mayor publicly welcomed the king to the city of York while police were holding the man.

His mother, the Queen, last performed it in 2012.

Princess Kate, meanwhile, spoke with families today at a children’s hospital about perinatal mental health difficulties.

He ascended the British throne after his mother, Elizabeth II, died on September 8, 2022. He was the longest-serving heir apparent and, at age 73, the oldest person to ascend to the British throne.

Charles is a well-known environmentalist and an opponent of the use of genetically modified food.

As an environmentalist, he promoted organic farming and efforts to combat climate change while serving as the manager of the Duchy of Cornwall estates, winning him honours and acclaim from environmental organisations. His advocacy for homoeopathy and other complementary therapies has drawn criticism.
