The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on Monday announced the final results for the UPSC Civil Services exam 2021.
According to the final results, as declared on the official website – upsc.gov.in, Delhi’s Shruti Sharma has topped the Civil Services Exam 2021.
Significantly, all the top three positions have been secured by women candidates this year. Following Shruti Sharma, Ankita Agarwal and Gamini Singla have secured AIR 2 and AIR 3 respectively. AIR 4 Aishwarya Verma is also a woman candidate.
Who is Shruti Sharma?
Shruti Sharma, the topper of the 2021 UPSC Civil services exams is an alumnus of St Stephens College and Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi. She is from Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh, and completed her education in Delhi.
Shruti Sharma has been preparing for the UPSC Civil Services exam at Jamia Millia Islamia Residential Coaching Academy, according to a report by Indian Express.
UPSC Civil Service Final Results 2021: Top 10 Toppers

Based on the result of the written part of the Civil Services Examination, 2021 held by the Union Public Service Commission in January 2022 and the interviews for Personality Test held in April-May, 2022, a total number of 685 candidates have been recommended for appointments to-
- Indian Administrative Service;
- Indian Foreign Service;
- Indian Police Service; and
- Central Services, Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B’.
The result of one candidate has been kept withheld as per the information provided by UPSC on its official website.
UPSC Facilitation Counter for Candidates
UPSC has a “Facilitation Counter” near Examination Hall on its campus. Candidates can obtain any information or clarification regarding their examinations and recruitments on the working days between 10:00 AM to 17:00 PM in person or over the telephone Nos. 23385271 / 23381125 / 23098543.
The final results have also been made available on the UPSC website i.e. http//www.upsc.gov.in.
Marks will be available on the website within 15 days from the date of declaration of the result.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Message
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also congratulated the successful candidates who have cleared the UPSC Civil Services (Main) Examination 2021.
In a series of tweets, the Prime Minister said;
“Congratulations to all those who have cleared the Civil Services (Main) Examination, 2021. My best wishes to these youngsters who are embarking on their administrative careers at an important time of India’s development journey, when we are marking Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.”

In 2020, Shubham Kumar from Bihar had topped the civil services exam. A total number of 761 candidates cleared the UPSC CSE final examination in 2021 out of which 545 were men and 216 were women.
