Comment Policy

The Justice Mirror may enable comment sections on the specific posts and pages of the site to encourage meaningful discussions.

Our comment policy is intended to facilitate the free exchange of ideas and thoughts on varied issues covered by the posts. 

At the same time, we lay great emphasis that this platform remains an inclusive and safe space free from trolls and bullying.

To ensure this, we have reserved full rights under our comment policy to decide what is a troll and whether or not to retain a comment on the site.

The right to modify inappropriate comments

We reserve full right to unilaterally modify or remove any comment, insight, or remark made on this site. In other words, we exclusively reserve all rights to moderate, modify, or remove any comment, remark, feedback, or insight that we deem offensive and which in our personal assessment violates our community engagement terms or comment policy and guidelines.

Comments may go through the process of Moderation

Comments made on any post or page of this site may go through a process of moderation and scrutiny before they are approved and allowed to appear on the site.

If a comment has been withheld for moderation, it will become visible on the site only after the approval which may take a few hours. We regret the inconvenience caused during this process. 

Spamming

The site may resort to spam-detecting tools for detection and automatic removal of spurious comments containing offensive, demeaning, inappropriate, or immoral words, and links. 

Comments might be used as Testimonials

Any comment, remark, or insight made on the site may be used as a testimonial. In case you want to avoid this, kindly inform us specifically while writing to us.


Comment Guidelines

These comment guidelines are tentative and may be modified with or without any notice at the sole discretion of the site administrators.

  • The site may use the Akismet tool for spam detection and automated removal of comments with offensive or demeaning words and links
  • Sweeping remarks, wild statements, or allegations not backed and substantiated by credible and reliable sources may not be allowed. If allowed they may be moderated and modified to a reasonable extent.
  • Personal attacks or any kind of demeaning, derogatory, abusive remark or insight against the author and other commentators, users, etc are not permitted. 
  • Comments that appear to be made under fake identities or by impersonating other persons or groups may be withheld for moderation and modification and may not be approved. 
  • Comments, insights, or remarks that are off-topic and have no relation to the topic of discussion may be moderated or modified before approval or removed altogether. This will be done so to keep the debate and discussions on track and meaningful. 
  • Comments that appear to be spamming may not be approved. 
  • Posting identical comments on the same post or across multiple posts is not allowed and such comments may be withheld or removed.
  • Comments that are too long or wordy may not be approved. 
  • Comments that can land any party in legal trouble may not be approved. This includes defamatory, libelous, and seditious comments and remarks, as well as comments that may lead to a violation of intellectual property rights. 
  • Comments that are commercial in nature and promote commercial interests through any advertising material and links may not be approved. If approved, they may be moderated and modified so as to remove the commercial aspect. 
  • Comments that openly support terrorism, sectarianism, indulge in hate speech, incitement to violence of any kind, and/or attack/demean a religion without any sufficient and justifiable cause will not be approved. If approved they may be withheld for moderation and modification.
  • Comments written in all CAPS may be moderated, modified, or trashed. All caps are generally regarded as a written equivalent of shouting.
