The Prime Minister, Narendra Modi on Wednesday paid tributes to the socialist leader and freedom fighter Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia on his birth anniversary.
In a tweet, the Prime Minister said;
“Remembering Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia on his birth anniversary. He was at the forefront of many historical events and played a key role in our freedom struggle. He is widely respected for his principled politics and intellectual prowess.”

The PM also shared some interesting nuggets from the pages of history consisting of a letter from Dr. Lohia to Lord Linlithgow and correspondence between Dr. Lohia’s father and him.

On the occasion, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also paid tributes to Dr. Lohia.
“Tribute to the great freedom fighter, dynamic speaker and intense socialist thinker Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Ji on his birth anniversary.”, he said in a tweet.
