Samajwadi Party can never speak Truth: Yogi Adityanath

He took potshots at Akhilesh Yadav's promise of providing 300 units of free electricity to every household.

Ahead of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections scheduled in the next month, the political pitch is getting intense with each passing day.

On Monday, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took a dig at the opposition Samajwadi Party by saying that it can never speak the truth.

While talking to a news channel, he took potshots at Akhilesh Yadav’s promise of providing 300 units of free electricity to every household if voted to power.

“During the Samajwadi Party government, electricity was barely available for two hours in Uttar Pradesh”, he said.

He also said that the youth of the state know well that if there is anyone who can work honestly for their interests, it’s only the Bhartiya Janata Party.

“We will neither allow the killing of cows nor the destruction of farmers”, he added.

One the allegation of his party indulging in communal and extremism, he said that BJP leaders don’t spread communalism but they definitely spoil the plans of those who spread communalism.

Talking about his government’s focus on Mathura, Kashi, and Ayodhya, he said these places are the center of faith for the followers of Sanatan Dharma.

On Mayawati’s taunt of his huge monastery in Gorakhpur, he reiterated that he has invited her to visit it.

“I am glad that ‘Behen Ji has mentioned the traditional math of Gorakhpur. I invite her there. We will be happy if she comes to Shri Gorakshpeeth Math”, he said.

The Uttar Pradesh Assembly Election will be held in seven phases starting from February 10. The result will be declared on March 10.
