Belarus also Joins the Russian Invasion of Ukraine with Tanks and Troops

Earlier on Sunday, Lukashenko had warned that the war in Ukraine will "become a meat grinder" if the Ukrainian authorities continue to resist the Russian advance.

Amid the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict, Belarus has also entered the fray from the side of Russia as its troops and tanks rolled across the Ukrainian border.

Belarus is a neighbor of Ukraine and Russia and its troops have already entered the Ukrainian territory with hundreds of tanks and artillery pieces, claimed Ukraine on Tuesday.

Vitaliy Kyrylov, a Ukrainian Defense Forces spokesperson, said that Belarusian forces have entered the city of Chernihiv in northeast Ukraine, on Tuesday morning.

This comes after a meeting between Ukraine and Russian negotiators near the Belarus-Ukraine border ended with no breakthrough.

Belarusian Dictator Alexander Lukashenko acknowledged sending ‘rapid deployment groups’ to the border ‘to stop any military action against Belarus’, without acknowledging that his men had joined the attack, reported Daily Mail.

Earlier on Sunday, Lukashenko had warned that the war in Ukraine will “become a meat grinder” if the Ukrainian authorities continue to resist the Russian advance.

“The conflict in Ukraine is the thin edge of the wedge. Believe me, I know what I’m talking about. If it continues like this, the worst will happen”, he told media persons in Minsk, the Belarusian capital.

Soon thereafter, Belarusian special forces were spotted loading onto airplanes in preparation for a big air assault on Kyiv in what could be a widening of the war, military sources stated.
